We’re at a time in Hip Hop where its so called fans don’t appreciate the art of a freestyle. Many argue what defines a “freestyle” while I still hold onto my old school definition of one: A freestyle is an off-the-top, on-the-spot rap. As mainstream rappers combine both written material and on-the-spot raps when they freestyle, it’s only right to spotlight those who are extremely good at it – despite their method.

Here’s the latest freestyle by Papoose from his “Throwback Freestyle” series. This time he lets bars loose over DMX’s “Blackout.”
