We’re only four weeks into the NBA season and my Boston Celtics are already making history. On the surface, sure, a 12-game winning streak seems impressive. But if you check the stats, it’s more than impressive – it’s historic. The Celtics are the first team in NBA history to win a dozen consecutive wins after starting off with back to back losses (0-2).

They are also the first team to go on a winning streak with at SIX rookies appearing in the line-up for at least one game. And even with their All-stars out, in Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving and Al Horford, the Celtics still have the best defense in the league? They’re currently only allowing their opponents to score an average of 95.4 points per 100 possessions.
