Earlier this month, popular website, HipHopSince1987, premiered the collaborative project between rapper/producer, Noetic, and rapper/producer, SickaSoundz. “Howard Uni-Verse-City” is the first offering from the two artists as a duo – individually, both have contributed music throughout 2014. Today, they drop another single from the project.

After seeing the title of the song, you might be quick to say, “Oh, they’re just biting off The Weeknd’s song.” However, that is not the case. Cleverly pieced together by Noetic, samples from The Weeknd’s “Often” infiltrates the bass-heavy and drum-kick laced production. Both emcees spit their two cents onto the beat, making it an interesting interpretation of the original song.
